Home Cook Assistant exists to make home cooking easier, more organized, and more enjoyable. We believe that a great meal starts long before you turn on the stove — it starts with inspiration, smart planning, and knowing what you already have in the kitchen. Our platform brings all of that together in one place so you can spend less time searching and more time cooking.

What We Offer

Community recipes. Browse hundreds of recipes shared by real home cooks. Every submission is reviewed for clarity, completeness, and accuracy before it appears on the public portal. You can search by ingredient, cuisine, dietary need, or dish type.

AI-powered recipe tools. Describe any dish in plain English and get a complete recipe with ingredients, step-by-step instructions, and estimated nutrition. Import recipes from any URL or photograph a cookbook page. Chat with any saved recipe to ask cooking questions, swap ingredients for allergies, or adjust serving sizes.

Smart kitchen management. Track your pantry inventory so you always know what you have on hand. Generate shopping lists from your meal plan with one tap. Plan your week with a visual calendar and use Menu Roulette to discover new dinner ideas from your own collection.

Collaborative households. Share your pantry, shopping list, and meal plan with your family. Up to four members can join a home and contribute recipes, check off groceries, and coordinate meals together.

How Recipes Are Reviewed

When a user publishes a recipe, it goes through an AI-assisted content review that checks for completeness (ingredients, instructions, and description), appropriate language, and recipe quality. Recipes that pass are published immediately; those flagged for ambiguity or missing detail are held for manual admin review. This process ensures that every recipe on the portal meets a baseline standard of clarity and usefulness.
