Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp slivered almonds (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
- Blanch green beans for 3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add green beans and saute 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Squeeze lemon juice over top, toss with almonds if using, and season with salt and pepper.
