Ingredients

  • 1 lb cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tbsp dry white wine or sherry (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add mushrooms in a single layer. Do not overcrowd — cook in batches if needed.
  3. Let cook undisturbed 3-4 minutes until browned on bottom.
  4. Stir and cook another 3 minutes.
  5. Add garlic and thyme, cook 1 minute.
  6. Deglaze with wine if using, scraping up browned bits.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley.
