Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add cranberries, orange zest, and cinnamon.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  4. Cook 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most berries have burst.
  5. Stir in orange juice and salt.
  6. Remove from heat — sauce will thicken as it cools.
  7. Serve warm or chilled. Keeps refrigerated up to 2 weeks.
